Leng Yiyao’s eyes lit up with excitement. She eagerly ran toward the commotion, calling out, “Come on, let’s watch the show!”

What luck—stumbling upon such an entertaining scene! In a casino, everything depended on gambling skills. If someone dared to cheat under the dealer’s nose, there were only two possible outcomes—either they were so skilled that they won every time, or they were recklessly waving a sword in front of a master, in which case they’d better be prepared to lose a hand or a foot.

Zhai Mu raised an eyebrow, slightly surprised by her enthusiasm for this kind of spectacle. Still, he followed her at an unhurried pace.

The noise had drawn in a crowd, and guests instinctively gathered around a central gambling table. Nine men were seated there, playing Baccarat, based on the cards spread out before them.

Leng Yiyao took a quick scan—seven of the nine men were locals, while the other two were foreigners. Strangely, the two who were now fighting were both foreigners. One was a long-bearded man with yellow-toned skin, while the other was shockingly pale. At that moment, the bearded man had the pale foreigner’s hand firmly pinned to the table, rendering him completely immobile.

“You’re talking nonsense!” The pale foreigner looked refined, but his expression darkened the moment he noticed the crowd gathering. He struggled to free himself from the bearded man’s grip, but his strength wasn’t enough. The more he fought, the more humiliating it became.

The rest of the players remained silent, watching with cold, detached expressions.

Leng Yiyao found their lack of reaction odd until Zhai Mu tapped the table’s chips, drawing her attention. That was when she realized something interesting.

This accused cheater hadn’t targeted the entire table—he had only singled out the bearded man. And curiously, that man had the fewest chips on the table. Compared to the others, his remaining stash looked pitifully small.

“You definitely hid a card up your sleeve,” the bearded man sneered, tightening his grip as he gestured to the casino staff. “Strip him. Let’s see if he’s hiding anything.”

Catching a cheat in the act!

But before the staff could step in, the foreigner shouted defiantly, “You have no right to search me! I’m a tourist here on vacation. If you can’t afford to lose, don’t gamble! You have no proof, and if you dare touch me, I’ll sue you for defamation!”

The spectators immediately started whispering among themselves. If this man was truly a cheater, then he was at least a smart one—because he knew exactly who to target.

D City was filled with wealthy local tycoons. If a foreigner recklessly cheated a local high roller without knowing their background, they might not even live to regret it. But by targeting another foreigner, the risk was much lower. Since he hadn’t swindled the other players, none of the seven locals felt the need to interfere. Instead, they were just as entertained as the onlookers, watching the two foreigners clash.

“Defamation?” The bearded man gave a cold, ruthless chuckle. His gaze turned sharp, exuding a deadly aura. “If I falsely accused you, not only will I return every last chip you won from me, I’ll give you an extra million. But—if I find that you were cheating…”

He suddenly pulled a knife from his coat and slammed it into the table with a loud “Thud!” The blade pierced through the wood, stopping millimetres from the foreigner’s index finger.

“I’ll cut off your fingers one by one and feed them to the dogs!”

With that, he grabbed the man by his collar and began stripping his clothes right then and there!

Leng Yiyao’s eyes practically sparkled with excitement.

Now this guy—he was truly fearless!
